A passenger tried to run, but was caught within 20 feet, deputies said. Deputies said they found “a large amount” of Coach purses piled in passenger areas of the vehicle. Carmel police said the suspects have ties to the Fresno Bulldogs, a Norte gang, and their vehicle was rented in Fresno. The stolen bags and other items were returned to the Carmel store. Police said several commercial burglaries aimed at Coach stores have occurred in California since November 2011. A Fresno burglary ring may be responsible for the heists, police said. School employee sought as molest suspect Salinas police are seeking an Alisal Union School District employee as a suspect in molestation of a 14 year old girl during a one year period. Police said the girl’s mother brought the girl and a cellphone containing compromising pictures of the girl and the suspect, identified as Hector Ortega Zermeno, 29, who tutored the girl at Alisal Community School in 2011, to the police station on Monday.
