Bath Body stores likely headed to Valley Mall
Both retailers are owned by Columbus, Ohio based L Brands Inc., formerly The Limited Inc. The publicly traded fashion retailer boasts annual revenue of more than $10.5 billion.
Officials with L Brands could not be reached for comment.
Other stores operated by the parent company are La Senza, also a retailer of women’s intimate apparel that operates in Canada and other countries, and Henri Bendel, which sells handbags, jewelry and other accessories.
In its 2014 annual report to the Securities and Exchange Commission, L Brands said substantially all of its company owned stores were profitable last year, mostly because they are located in high traffic locations.
National brands have been finding their way to the Yakima Valley recently, including Chipotle, expected to open soon at the Tahoma Square development on South First Street, north of Washington Avenue. Buffalo Wild Wings and Dickey’s restaurants also opened recently.
