Benefit for Clearfield County Teen as murder investigation
Clearfield, Clearfield County, Pa. As the investigation into Chase Anderson death continues, the Clearfield County community is rallying around his family with a benefit to help with funeral costs.
The benefit will be this Sunday at the Station in Clearfield. It was a place many shared a lot of memories with chase Anderson and it a local hangout in the clearfield community.
A week ago. forensic examiners connected the 19 year old to human remains found in a woods near Walker Road in Pike Township. Since then, police have been investigating it as a murder.
Meanwhile, friends of Anderson and the community are coming together to help with funeral costs. The benefit and bake sale will be this Sunday, starting at 2 o at the Skate Station. The owner of the skating rink, Jeannie Peoples, knows chase family personally when she heard of the benefit, she knew she had to help.
“I known chase ever since he was a little boy and I needed to do something to help the family. And it does make things easier when they see the all the support,” says Peoples.
Anderson family says the donations are a weight lifted off of their shoulders, during this time of tragedy.
“Anyone you talk to will tell you he lights up their life. He had a hug for everyone a smile for everybody, He had a great 19 years and we want to remember those,” explains Holly Knoll, Chase Aunt.
